About us

Hundred Acre Wood Forest Preschool is a licensed non-profit early years child care provider and alternative forest school. We offer full time and part time education for children 18 months to 9 years old. Our program is outdoor based, with a complete indoor facility to host nap time, washrooms, and inclement weather play.

Our Wildlings programs include summer camps, leaders in training, holiday camps and PD Days. They take place at Metcalfe Rock, Kimbercote Farms, and Sideroads Farms and include nature immersion, risky play, free play, and so much more.

Hundred Acre Wood is grateful to operate on the traditional lands of The Anishinaabek, Six Nations of the Grand River, Petun, Saugeen Ojibway, Members of the three fires confederacy, Haudenosaunee and Wendat peoples, as well as the Metis and Inuit whose ancestors shared this land and waters.

Students of Hundred Acre Wood spend their formative years roaming wild areas and forested land, they grow up with a love of nature in their heart, and become leaders and change makers of a sustainable future. Children develop and grow at their own pace, in the company of nature.

Children in the daycare are offered healthy (organic and local when available) lunch, snacks, and water. No processed foods, no junk foods. Children also take part in the menu planning, food prep, serving food, and cleaning up. The menu exceeds the ministry’s requirements in terms of variety and the use of fresh local food options.
