LIT Weekends

Next Date:

November 8-9th 2025

Once a season we host an LIT Weekend or Adventure Day. These involve leadership based activities that may include fire building, paddling, caving, teambuilding, hiking, self-development, games, meal making, and more! We welcome youth ages 10-14yrs to join us either one day, or from Saturday to Sunday with a supervised sleepover. Meals are included when they sleepover. This is an opportunity for youth to make new friends, challenge themselves, have a fun weekend away from home, and to join our year-round LIT program that includes summer camp volunteering and community based initiatives.

Summer camp LIT program

Our volunteer LIT program prepares 12-14 year olds for leading groups of children in nature programming and excursions.

LITs will support staff in supervising camp participants and delivering programming, with opportunities to participate in all of the programs. LIT candidates are youth who enjoy being outdoors and are interested in learning to lead groups of children safely through adventure and fun. They will be challenged to facilitate a program and will acquire valuable resume skills.

Leaders in Training will undergo an interview to be selected for the LIT Program. Interviews will be conducted after their application/interest is received. If the interview does not go well you will be refunded the fees. LITs will be required to commit to assisting in a minimum of 2 weeks of camp and one day of training. LITs can register for the weeks that they are interested in at no cost and we will reach out for the interview.

2025 Rates
